Maureen Serrano is a native Arizonan born inPhoenix. She has worked and lived in the state all of her life. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science studying Human Nutrition and Dietetics and completed her internship in clinical dietetics at the Arizona Health Sciences Center - University Medical Center in Tucson. Maureen has been working as a registered dietitian in private practice since 1986. She has consulted to various health care organizations, America West Airlines, The Drachman Center for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, several HMO’s, The State of Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities, local behavioral health care and eating disorder facilities, Wickenburg Community Hospital, Physician offices, and private individuals. Professionally, she is interested in health promotion and disease prevention through nutrition education and lifestyle skills management. She feels it is important to practice what you preach and maintains an active healthy lifestyle.
