I am almost a native of Wickenburg because I moved here from Queens, New York at the age of 7. The first inclination that I was destined to be in medicine was as a child when I started caring for wounded pets.
My first love is human nutrition. I received my undergraduate (B.S.) degree and graduate degree (M.S.) in Dietetics at NAU. After graduating I only worked part of a school year as a Registered Dietitian in a Junior College before being accepted into medical school. In medical school I participated in a Pediatric internship and residency training in Phoenix at ASU. I have enjoyed nearly 24 years as a staff pediatrician with CIGNA Medical group in Phoenix, where I presently practice Midway through my CIGNA employment, I left Arizona and was a staff Pediatrician at Med Center One in Bismarck, North Dakota for 5years, returning to the White Mountains in Arizona for a private practice for another 4 years.
“I enjoy the look of innocence in a child’s face and the expression of appreciation by a parent whose child I have cared for. When I think of the small role I may play in influencing a healthier life, I am encouraged to keep doing what I love to do: provide medical care to children and their families in the way I would like to receive that care.”
God has blessed in so many ways! I grew up in a loving family and I am in good health. I have a loving husband of 35 years and we have 4 handsome and talented sons, a lovely daughter-in-law and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
I will be joining the team of providers at the Community Hospital Clinic in Wickenburg in late September and look forward to returning home where my roots are, my family is, and where I hope to retire—if that day ever comes!
