Employees at Wickenburg Community Hospital have devised a fantastic way to give back to the community.
Once a month on a designated day, WCH employees have the opportunity to pay $5 to wear jeans to work for charity. Money collected over an elected period of time is then donated to local charities.
Cash for Splash Pad project sponsored by the Town of Wickenburg Parks and Recreation Department is the latest recipient of the Jeans for Charity program at the hospital. The Town plans to build a splash pad at Sunset Park, on West Wickenburg Way.
“Employees donated $575 towards the Town’s fundraising campaign goal of $250,000,” says Gogi Gay, Volunteer/Training Manager at Wickenburg Community Hospital. “To date, hospital employees through the Jeans for Charity program have collected and donated $2,965 for local charities,” Gay noted.
