The project is moving along on schedule with very few complications. The process of clearing, grading, and moving buildings, supplies, and equipment is complete. Employee parking was relocated making use of two church parking lots east of the hospital, as most of the Surgical Center will encompass the former employee parking area. The significance of the move is to ensure patients and visitors have prime access to the hospital and clinic – especially during the busy process of construction.
Underground trenching and placing of water, sewer, electric, and gas lines across Rose Lane and Bralliar Street is complete. Dirt work, footings, and stem wall construction for the Medical Office Building is slotted for completion by July 31 with a projected slab pour to begin in early August.
Moreover in August, east-end renovations to the Hospital will begin. Demolition of the former Visiting Physician Suites and subsequent construction of a new cafeteria, food prep area, and office should finish by October 28.
