To continue providing superior service while accommodating social distancing protocols, Wickenburg Community Hospital’s Rehabilitation Center has launched remote therapy for patients via telehealth virtual visits. Sessions may begin via tele-therapy February 22nd, 2021.
With telehealth the therapy team can continue to build rapport, engagement and education by building, sharing, and discussing targeted home exercise with patients during each virtual visit. Patients must have their evaluation in person with their therapist. Once the patient and therapist work together to determine if using telehealth is an option, those sessions can begin.
This virtual care will be powered by Agile Virtual Care, an organization with a reputation for being timely and effective in addition to having proven outcomes after patients engage in virtual care.
Telehealth can be used for:
- Acute injuries such as spraining an ankle
- Chronic injuries such as long-term low back pain
- If you’re unable to leave your house
- Long wait lists for in person care
There has been national coverage establishing the virtual therapy network with over one hundred locations utilizing this service. Thus far the network of over four hundred licensed clinicians are receiving great outcomes and high satisfaction rates.
Our Virtual Care Team will complete physical therapy plans to diagnose, create personal care plans, and provide personal therapy sessions. The team will also provide assistance with signup, managing insurance claims and technical support. Meeting patient needs is a priority above all others.
