WCH COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
Wickenburg Community Hospital is excited to begin offering public vaccine clinics on behalf of the Arizona Department of Health Services. The organization is grateful for the opportunity to assist in the distribution process in our rural community.
WHEN: The first public clinic will be held on March 3rd, 2021 with multiple to follow well into early summer. These will continue to be scheduled as the need deems it necessary.
WHERE: Inside the Wickenburg Community Hospital activity room, all scheduled patients must utilize the community entrance found on the North side, off Bralliar Road – between the main entrance and the rehabilitation center.
WHAT to Bring: All patients must have state confirmation of appointment, along with a photo ID and insurance card (if applicable) and a face covering.
Points of Clarification:
- The Community Hospital Clinics are not approved distribution PODs for the COVID vaccine at this time.
- Wickenburg Community Hospital is approved as a point of distribution for the vaccine, however, may only provide the vaccine through the state program. Therefore, may not provide a separate registration or distribution process. All patients who are administered the vaccine must be documented according to state regulation.
- Registration for the COVID-19 Vaccine must be completed through the Arizona State vaccine patient portal found at azdhs.gov/ or those who are not able to utilize a computer may call 211 to register for the vaccine by phone.
- Eligibility to receive the vaccine now includes:
- Healthcare and EMS workers
- Long-term care facility residents & staff
- Adults age 65 and older
- K-12 school staff and childcare workers
- Law enforcement/protective services*

Q: How long does protection from a COVID-19 vaccine last?
A: We don’t know how long protection lasts for those who are vaccinated. What we do know is that COVID-19 has caused very serious illness and death for a lot of people. If you get COVID-19, you also risk giving it to loved ones who may get very sick. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a safer choice.

A: Yes. To protect yourself and others, follow these recommendations:

- Avoid crowds
- Avoid poorly ventilated spaces
- Wash your hands often
