A Free Mammogram & Biopsy Program

Pink Ribbon Angels was formed in 2009 to help residents of the Wickenburg area cover uninsured expenses associated with the diagnosis of breast cancer.

To date, the Pink Ribbon Angels have funded more than 2,500 free mammograms and diagnostic tests, and more than 400 free screenings for women and men ages 35 to 64.

Program funding is provided by individual donations, grants and the Annual October Wickenburg Walks to Boot Breast Cancer sponsored by the Wickenburg Breast Cancer Network. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made online or mailed to:

Pink Ribbon Angels is dedicated to making these life-saving diagnostic and screening services available to every qualified person. Our priority is ensuring PRA is well-known and easily accessible in every community we serve.

 

Pink Breast Cancer Ribbon

Program Eligibility

Applicants for the Pink Ribbon Angels program must meet the following requirements. If you’re unsure if you qualify, please call (928) 668-1803.

  • Between the ages of 35 and 64
  • Uninsured or under-insured
  • Reside in Aguila, Circle City, Congress, Forepaugh, Hillside, Kirkland, Morristown, Peeple’s Valley, Salome, Wenden, Wickenburg, Wittmann or Yarnell
  • Have a mammogram prescription from a provider or make an appointment with a provider at Community Hospital Clinic by calling (928) 668-1833 for a free screening

If necessary, you will be provided a free follow-up diagnostic mammogram or ultrasound. In the event that an MRI or biopsy is recommended, your physician should contact Wickenburg Community Hospital Medical Imaging at (928) 684-4385 to inquire about free coverage.

$15 gas cards may also be provided to patients residing outside of Wickenburg.
