Women’s Health Services

Whether you’re in need of an annual exam, a mammogram, pregnancy testing, or bone density testing, the Women’s Health team at Wickenburg Community Hospital is here for you. We offer comprehensive women’s care—including primary provider services, medical imaging, and physical therapy. We take pride in offering the highest level of care for women thanks to our skilled physicians, nurses, and medical staff, as well as our quality equipment and resources.

Wickenburg Community Hospital’s Breast Center is a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence, according to the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program (NQMBC). Not only do we work toward a world-class standard of care, but we also embrace new advances in technology to better our services. This distinguished honor reinforces our commitment to providing top-of-the-line breast care now and in the future at Wickenburg Community Hospital.

Our breast center is designed to be calming and peaceful, and is focused on making all of our patients feel comfortable.  Our providers offer mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies in relation to breast cancer screenings, diagnosis, and treatment at Wickenburg Community Hospital. We even have a Stereotactic Breast Biopsy System that expands our ability to help women when the need for a biopsy arises.

We are proud to offer free mammograms and diagnostic testing for women in partnership through the nonprofit Wickenburg Community Hospital Foundation Pink Ribbon Angels program—made possible by generous donations, grants, and proceeds from the Wickenburg Walks to Boot Breast Cancer annual event. This is available for women in our community who are between the ages of 35 and 64 and are uninsured or underinsured—based on financial hardship. To learn more about this opportunity, call 928-684-5421.

At Wickenburg Community Hospital, we provide a range of primary care services for women. They include:

  • Annual exams: Pap, breast exam, and contraceptive counseling
  • STD checks and treatment
  • Urinary tract disorders
  • Menstrual disorders
  • Yeast infections
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Basic prenatal care
  • Urinary incontinence

We also offer physical therapy for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. These conditions can occur due to pregnancy ( C-sections) or chronic straining, as well as many other causes. Physical therapy can help strengthen pelvic muscles, which support the bladder, uterus and bowel, and impact sexual function and pelvic core mobility and stability. We treat women for many symptoms related to this including decreased balance, incontinence, low back pain, rectus diastasis, and pelvic asymmetries.

You can learn more about our experienced providers and their backgrounds here. Should you ever need a consultation with a women’s health specialists or more in-depth care, we maintain strong relationships with women’s health specialists from the Phoenix metro area who consult on our campus. This means we make every effort to refer you to a visiting specialist so that you don’t have to leave Wickenburg, and you can cultivate a relationship with them for continuing care at your convenience.

All of our women’s health services are grounded in our commitment to provide quality health and wellness services where the patient, family, and community come first. We strive to serve everyone with integrity, empathy, and excellence. Learn more about our mission, vision, and values here.
