Born, raised and educated in Bryan, Texas.
Entered the USAF in 1956 and served for 20 years. I was assigned to numerous Air Force bases over my career including two tours in Southeast Asia. I received the Air Force Commendation award in 1968 for duty in Viet Nam and graduated from NCO Academy in 1969. I retired at Luke AFB in 1977 as a Tech Sargent.
In my next stage of life, I attended Northern Arizona University and graduated with a degree in business management and marketing in 1981. After graduation, I worked briefly as an Assistant Manager for K-Mart. Then, I spent 1981-1983 as a Revenue Officer for the IRS. I transferred from the IRS to the USPS and remained employed there until retiring in 2000. Adjustment to retirement was a little difficult, so I went back to work part-time for Berge Ford in Mesa. I enjoyed it so much I stayed until 2008 before retiring for the final time.
My wife, Karen and I relocated to Wickenburg in March, 2013. We are Associate members of the Chamber of Commerce. I continue to stay active with golf and volunteer pursuits such as driving for the Senior Express. We have a daughter, 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children that also keep us busy.
