Cara played a lot of sports growing up, and at a young age found myself in Physical Therapy as a patient. Since then she has had a wide variety of injuries and surgeries, and each time PT was the key to allowing her to resume the activities that she loves. This personal health history, plus my love of sports, anatomy, physiology, and physics, made PT as a profession an easy choice.
Cara received her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and her Doctorate from University of Winschonsin-LaCrosse. She spent the first 5 years of her career as a Travel PT, working all around the country and living in a camper.
Cara’s practice as a PT includes special interventions like Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction. She places a heavy emphasis on education and empowerment, to allow each patient a better understanding of their condition and how they successfully improve their condition without requiring extraneous medications/injections/surgeries, when possible. Treatments with her also involve plenty of joking around, because being injured stinks, so we might as well has a few laughs as while getting better.
In her free time she enjoys following her sports teams (Packers, cyclones, Brewers, Bucks), camping, woodworking, gardening, playing sports, being on water, and traveling.
