Mr. Ed Kientz has a BS degree in Public Administration from the University of Oregon and an MPA from Walden University. He is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honors Society for public administration, public policy, and public affairs. He has worked for Benner-Nawman Inc. for over fifty years and is the Chairman and CEO of BN’s group of companies. He is active in the fields of education, lifelong learning, and community affairs.
He has served on the Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA) board of directors based in Arlington, Virginia and he twice was the associations chairman. TIA’s membership consist of the manufacturers of telecom equipment is responsible for writing the standards for our telecommunications infrastructure. Ed has served on the Board of Governors for the Electronics Industries Alliance that was also based in the Washington D.C. area.
Ed has represented the rural areas of Maricopa County on the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) which dispersed funds from the federal “Housing and Urban Development” department (HUD) to rural communities like Wickenburg.
Currently Ed is active as the Chairman of the Wickenburg Christian Academy, and he is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. He has served as chairman of the board for Wickenburg’s library and learning center and he has also served on the board for the Del E. Webb Center for the Preforming Arts. He joined the board of directors for the Wickenburg Community Hospital in 2022 and was elected chairman of the board beginning in January of 2023.
