Dr. Joseph Williams is a fellowship trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a strong focus on adult degenerative spine disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He comes to Wickenburg Community Hospital with over twenty years’ experience. He is a member of the North American Spine Society and The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Prior to his medical training he was raised in Reno and attended college at the University of Nevada where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Williams completed his orthopedic surgical residency training at Southern Illinois University Orthopedic Department.

Dr. Williams chose orthopedics to be able to help his patients with their pain and disabilities, and to get them back to their normal activity levels. “Quality of life for my patients is a top priority. My passion for excellence is being able to care for patients through state-of-the-art surgical techniques, minimized need for pain medications, and return them to a healthy and active lifestyle as soon as possible.”

Dr. Williams recently moved to his hometown in Reno, NV. Outside of his work, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his two sons and traveling. He is often outdoors, where you will find him mountain biking, hiking, or running.
