Star Ratings from patient satisfaction surveys

My approach to treating and caring for patients has been established over 24 years of clinical practice. I believe my responsibility, as a healthcare provider is to first gather all the pertinent information about my patient’s disease or injury. I allow as much time as necessary for my patient to give me an in-depth history. Once I have obtained the appropriate history and performed my examination to arrive at the diagnosis, I recommend treatment options. My diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations are based on treatment algorithms beginning with the most conservative and progressing as indicated. I take the time to ensure that my patient and family members are well informed about all the aspects of their disease or injury including prognosis and treatment options.

I began my career in medicine at 19 years old as an Air Force medic and have had the privilege to serve for over 25 years. I attended a top Physician Assistant program at the University of Utah and received advanced training in Orthopedics from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. I have worked with and have been trained by some of the best Orthopedic Surgeons in their subspecialties.

My in-depth experience has included several years of orthopedic spine surgery, joint replacement surgery including shoulders, hips, and knees, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma surgery. Overall, I have spent a vast amount of time in each orthopedic subspecialty, a total of over 24 years in the field of orthopedic surgery.
