My desire to be involved in healthcare started at a young age, when all the kids in the neighborhood wanted to ride bikes but I wanted to be the ambulance driver.
With 30 years of healthcare experience, I have provided anesthesia in small private hospitals, surgical centers, pediatric hospital, and an endoscopy center. I came to Wickenburg from a level 1 Trauma Center in Columbia, Missouri where I was one of four CRNA’s who took 24 hour Trauma call.
I was an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University where I taught Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Educators, Nurse Managers, and Nurse Anesthesia students. I am now an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.
I graduated with my diploma RN from St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1986, obtained my BSN from University of Missouri in 1989, my MSN\CRNA from Bradley University\Memorial Medical Center in 1994, and achieved my PhD from St. Louis University in 2012.
