“There is no exercise better for the heart then reaching down and lifting people up.”-John Holmes
When I graduated high school I started out my journey on a college cross country scholarship to Estrella Community College with the only career goal in mind being to help people. I took my general education credits and received my EMT certification at Estrella Community College; I was bound and determined to become a firefighter like so many in my family. My mind changed when my mother went through a traumatic accident, thrown from our horse and trampled by another. I saw her go through months of physical therapy and recovery, seeing the therapists and how they used their knowledge to make a long lasting effect, (not just a bandaid for the time being), this inspired me to change my career path. I then went to Brookline College in Phoenix and went through their physical therapist assistant program. I graduated April of 2018 as a PTA and have now been working at Wickenburg Community Hospital since September of 2018. I want to make a difference and help every patient to the best of my ability.
I was born in Topeka, Kansas and moved at a young age to Oklahoma, Georgia, and then Arizona where I grew up for the largest part of my life. In my free time I enjoy riding my horses, taking my dogs for hikes, fishing, spending time with my husband, family and friends.
