I chose this profession because I’m devoted to the health and wellness of people. It gives me great pleasure to seek answers, solve problems, and assist others as they regain a state of wellness and a sense of normalcy. Initially I became a Registered Nurse after completing a nursing program in Reno, Nevada. Over the next ten years I trained and advanced in areas of emergency medicine, medical/surgical, OB, mental health rehabilitation, and home health education at community hospitals.
Soon the significance to provide a broader scope of services developed in me so I entered a Physician Assistant program at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks Medical School, graduating in 1994.
A physician assistant is a nationally certified and state licensed medical professional who practices medicine on health care teams with physicians and other providers. They typically examine, diagnose, and treat patients.
I practiced in both Family Medicine and Emergency Care in the areas of Lake Havasu and Surprise, Arizona and in 2007 I joined the team at Wickenburg Community Hospital Clinic. I perform wellness examinations, dermatological care, pediatric medicine, geriatric medicine, gynecological care, minor surgical procedures, wound care, and allergy treatment.
My fellow providers at the clinic treat a broad scope of multiple medical issues at our clinic and I feel confident that we are a competent group.
