ED Renovation – 05-06-19

Last Updated – 05.06.2019

Wickenburg Community Hospital is about to embark on an exciting venture!

WCH Foundation, has been working diligently behind the scene to raise funds for an amazing renovation to the Wickenburg Community Hospital Emergency Department. The project is driven primarily by the need to accommodate a significant increase in utilization of the emergency department over the past 5 years; a trend that is continuing into the first quarter of FY2019.

Renovation timeline is dependent on funding. Phase I is projected to begin May 16th, 2019 by constructing a new emergency walk-in entrance, registration area, and triage area. Plans for successive phasing to follow by renovating two exam rooms at a time to ensure emergency patient access to services continue without disruption. WCH Foundation is actively engaged in fundraising efforts to raise the needed $1.1million through charitable gifts and pledges.

All hospital services will be open during regular business hours, the Emergency Department will stay open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Wickenburg Community Hospital and Clinic staff ask patients and visitors to be cautious when approaching construction zones. Please pay special attention to pedestrians crossing the street. There will be limited access to parking along Rose Lane so patients and visitors are encouraged to park in the Pharmacy and Clinic parking lots.
