I became involved with research at ta hospital in Cincinnati and before I knew it, I was hooked. I received a BA and MS in Zoology at Miami University, spent a year doing research with lasers in medicine. I then went on to Medical College of Ohio where I subsequently completed my residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. I enjoy practicing medicine in rural communities because my patients care about their health and wellbeing. It is wonderful to be in Wickenburg treating people and hearing patients say thank you.

Providing Care at the Clinic in Wickenburg - Dr. Melde returned to Arizona where he earned his medical degree in 1971 as one of the very first classes of 32 students at the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. He received a second licenses in the state of Arizona for homeopathic and integrated medicine, MD(H) in February 2008. Dr. Melde is a first-generation medical doctor from a a family of multi-level medical professionals and is the eldest of nine children. He currently resides in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife. He has 5 daughters and 11 grandchildren.

Matt received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in nursing from Northern Arizona University. While working, I also completed Nursing School at Yavapai Community College in Prescott, AZ. Before long I began to feel as though I could not do enough for patients and wanted to go further. I entered the Primary Care/Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program at Maricopa County Hospital, challenged the PA exam, and became a Physician Assistant. I love practicing medicine and have done so for over 30 years. Every patient has a story, and every patient is dear to my heart.”

Providing Care at the Clinic in Wickenburg - Mandi’s healthcare career began as a nursing assistant. She then moved onto become an LPN, RN, and now a Nurse Practitioner. Her healthcare journey started back when she was in high school. A counselor stated that nursing will be the next big employment filed with jobs galore. Mandi sees patients ages ten to adult from acute to chronic illnesses. In addition, she has her wound care certification. “Since choosing healthcare as my profession I have never regretted a single day of my choice and am very proud of my profession.”

A manager mentor quickly observed her passion for providing exceptional patient care and encouraged her to advance her skillset as a registered nurse. She believes deeply in her calling and knew she was on the path to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Courtney provides Primary Care services to patients of all ages, treating acute and chronic illnesses. Her approach to patient care embodies a holistic approach that considers all elements within the patient environment that contribute to their overall health or illness. She aims to empower patients to be active participants in their wellness journey. She is married with three children ranging in age from 17 to 30, and in her spare time, she loves to read and play golf.

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, her objective is to empower patients to teak control of their mental wellbeing. Her treatment plan includes education regarding the patient’s diagnosis and available evidence-based treatments to they can participate in the decision process. Faridy will employ a combination of psychotropic medications and psychotherapy to optimize patient recovery. Angela grew up in Topeka, Kansas and received her graduated degree in clinic social work at Washburn University. She started her career in community behavioral health, where she provided services to teens and families. Angela worked with patients struggling with addictions, chronic mental illness, and acute crisis. Angela has also worked in the hospital settings providing crisis assessment, end of life discussions, goals for care and trauma case management. She is skilled in palliative care consults and geriatric interventions, as well. most recently, she worked in a primary care clinic providing services for patients struggling with addictions, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship conflicts and other mental health symptoms that are connected to overall wellbeing and health. Angela is trained in dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma work, motivational interviewing, and solution focused interventions.
