“She (Lisa) is so thankful for the donation. She said it couldn’t have come at a better time. Last year the Morristown school called and said they no longer had a need for food for children, she received a call this week from the school asking for help again. Because of our program, many children won’t have to be hungry over the weekends. Each quarter proceeds from the program are donated to a local charity. This quarter, Lisa River’s from the Wickenburg Elks Lodge (where Melissa’s Cupboard is located) was the recipient.
Each month Wickenburg Community Hospital and Clinic employees have the opportunity to participate in the Jean Day for Charity Program. Participating employees donate $5.00 a month for the option to dress down (for those whose positions permit it) one day a month.
